On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau, the starting signal is given by the Alpbacher Bergbahn for the new construction of the new chairlift in Alpbach. Modern 6-seater chairlift replaces 4-seater chairlift
After 23 years, 16,567 operating hours and 7,129,813 people transported, the Hornlift 2000 has reached the end of its service life. Originally, the projekt was planned to start in 2020. However, the corona-related break was used for careful planning and preparation of the investment.
The Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau ski resort has treated itself to a few presents to mark its 10th birthday. The Hornlift 2000 will be replaced by a heated six-person chairlift with a pull-down plastic bubble to protect passengers from bad weather. This new lift will transport skiers and snowboarders up to the highest point in the ski resort in just 3 minutes and 45 seconds.
Up at the top you will find a state-of-the-art lift station including a viewing tower with the grand name Top of Alpbachtal. The new top station promises to be an absolute highlight. Named "Top of Alpbachtal" it provides an observation tower with new premises as well as a viewing platform with a unique panoramic view. The station and tower have been designed by the internationally renowned architects Snøhetta.
